No. If you already own a compatible OBD2 adapter, subscribe to OBDAI Premium directly through the app stores (Apple, Google, or Microsoft) — no new hardware required.

Works with most ELM327-compatible adapters, and one subscription covers iOS, Android, and Windows. (Our shop bundles are the option that includes a scanner.)
