Step-by-Step Activation

Step 1: Download the App

Install OBDAI on your phone, tablet, or computer. Your license works on all your devices!

Step 2: Create Your Account

Open OBDAI and sign in to sync your data across devices:

Tap the ☰ menu icon in the upper right corner Tap "Login" Sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple, or your email

💡 Important: Remember which account you use!

You'll need to sign in with the same account below to activate your license.

Step 3: Sign In Here to Activate

Sign in with the same account you created in the app.
Your Premium license will sync to all your devices automatically.

You must be signed in to activate your license.

Sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple, or email

Step 4: Enter Your License Information

🔐 Activate Your Amazon License

Enter the code exactly as shown on your card (dashes included)

Find at amazon.com/orders or in your order confirmation email

Connect Your Device

Step 5: Plug In Your Scanner

Locate your vehicle's OBD2 port (usually under the dashboard on the driver's side). Plug in your OBDAI scanner and start the vehicle.

Step 6: Scan for Devices

In the OBDAI app, tap "Scan for Devices"

Select your device from the list: OBDAI or OBDII BLE

Step 7: Connect

Tap "Connect" and you're ready to go!

Troubleshooting

"Invalid license code format"

Make sure your code follows the format: OBDAI-A1-XXXX-XXXX (with dashes). The code is case-insensitive.

"Invalid Amazon Order ID format"

Your Order ID should be 17 digits: 123-4567890-1234567 Find it at amazon.com/orders

"This license code has already been claimed"

Each license code can only be used once. If you've already activated it on another account, the license is linked to that account.

"This Amazon Order ID has already been used"

Each Amazon order can only activate one license. Contact support if you believe this is an error.

"Order not found" or "Order does not contain OBDAI product"

Double-check your Order ID. Orders may take up to 24 hours to sync after purchase.

"Order status is Pending"

Your order must be shipped or delivered before activating. Please wait for Amazon to process your order and try again.

"Network error"

Check your internet connection and try again.
