The characters on your license card can be tricky to read. Watch out for:
1 ≠ I
The number ONE vs the letter I
0 ≠ O
The number ZERO vs the letter O
On the card inside your package. Dashes are added automatically. Looks like: OBDAI-A1-XXXX-XXXX

Dashes are added automatically — just type or paste the numbers.

1. Plug the scanner into your OBD2 port (under the dash, driver's side)
2. Start your vehicle
3. In the app, tap "Scan for Devices"
4. Select "OBDAI" or "OBDII BLE" → tap "Connect"
Scanner not showing up? Make sure Bluetooth is on and the vehicle is running. More troubleshooting →
"Invalid license code format"
Must be exactly: OBDAI-A1-XXXX-XXXX with dashes. Case doesn't matter.
Most common mistake: The second group is A + the number 1 (one), NOT the letter I. Also watch for the number 0 (zero) vs the letter O.
"Invalid Amazon Order ID format"
Must be: 123-4567890-1234567 — three groups of numbers separated by dashes. Dashes are required. Find it at amazon.com/orders. Tip: copy & paste it to avoid typos.
"License code already claimed"
Each code works once. If you already activated it, sign into the app with the account you used during activation.
"Amazon Order ID already used"
One license per order. Contact us if you think this is wrong.
"Order not found"
Double-check the Order ID. New orders can take up to 24 hours to sync.
"Order status is Pending"
Your order must be shipped before you can activate. Wait for Amazon to process it.
