Short answer: Cancel through the store that bills you. App-store subscriptions are managed by Apple, Google, or Microsoft. Direct OBDAI subscriptions purchased on or after June 6, 2026 are managed in your OBDAI store account. Amazon and direct OBDAI purchases before June 6, 2026 are prepaid: they do not auto-renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
App-store subscriptions
Use the same store account you used for the purchase:
- Apple App Store: Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select OBDAI and follow the cancellation prompts.
- Google Play: Open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Select OBDAI and follow the cancellation prompts. You can also use Google Play subscriptions.
- Microsoft Store: Open Microsoft account services, sign in with your purchasing Microsoft account, and manage your OBDAI subscription.
That store handles billing and subscription changes. Your OBDAI store login does not manage an app-store purchase.
Direct OBDAI subscriptions purchased on or after June 6, 2026
- Open My Account → Subscriptions.
- Sign in with your OBDAI store login and password, not your app login.
- Open the subscription you want to manage and use its cancellation option.
Canceling stops the next renewal. Your access continues through the period you have already paid for.

Amazon and older prepaid purchases
Amazon prepaid licenses and direct OBDAI purchases before June 6, 2026 do not automatically renew.
Your prepaid year expires 365 days after activation, not purchase. There is no recurring payment to cancel. OBDAI sends expiration reminders before your access ends.
If you separately purchased a recurring subscription afterward, manage that subscription through the store that bills you.
Common questions
Will deleting the app stop billing?
No. Uninstalling OBDAI is not cancellation. Cancel through the store that manages your subscription.
Does activating a license code cancel an app-store subscription?
No. Activation and billing are separate. Check your active coverage and cancel any recurring subscription you no longer want through its billing store.
I see charges from more than one store. What should I do?
Check each store’s subscription record and your receipts. You may have more than one recurring subscription. Confirm which coverage you want to keep before canceling the other. A prepaid license by itself does not create recurring charges.

Is cancellation the same as a refund?
No. Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not itself refund a past payment. App-store refund requests go through the store where you purchased. For direct OBDAI purchases, see the Refund and Returns Policy.
